Socks for Men, Women, & Families in Need

A pair of socks may seem like a small thing. For someone facing hardship, however, a new pair of clean, warm socks can bring comfort, dignity, and relief.

Socks are one of the most needed items for people experiencing homelessness and families in crisis, yet they are often among the least donated. Coats, shirts, and shoes may come to mind when we think about giving, but socks are an everyday essential that many people must go without. Shelters and outreach organizations consistently identify new socks as a high-need item, especially because used socks often cannot be accepted or distributed.

For a man walking long distances, a woman trying to stay warm, a parent stretching every dollar, or a child preparing for school, a fresh pair of socks can make a real difference. It is a practical gift, but it also sends a powerful message: you matter, you are seen, and you are not forgotten.

We are asking supporters to donate new, unused socks in all sizes for men, women, and children. Athletic socks, warm socks, crew socks, ankle socks, and children’s socks are all welcome. New socks are especially important because many organizations cannot distribute used socks for hygiene reasons.
